MoodBoard
common elements I favored during my fashion marketing research were square cutouts, desaturated imagery, script/typewriter typography, and mixed-media.
Sketches
I began sketching ideas inspired by pinterest, tiktok, or my imagination. the common theme throughout each concept is time, where that be through visual design, quotes, or pacing.

I named this fictional company "JUNE." since pearls are the birthstone for the month of june, and I liked that it played into the theme of "time."
the Process
Here, you can see some examples of my design process in photoshop before animation.

In the first example with the hand, you can see that I wanted to play withyhe concept of "Timelessness." the hand, symbolizing reality, is moving while the jewelry stays still... as if it is without time.

In the second example, I wanted to arrange the pearls in a circle, which will be animated to disappear one by one like a clock, or like the 12 months in the year.

And in the third example, i wanted the main image to appear weathered, while the pearl remains beautiful and everlasting, communicating an eternal elegance.

LEARNINGS

This was a passion project that I took on outside of work in order to explore a marketing genre I don't normally get to explore. I love fashion marketing, and I really enjoyed coming up with concepts and designs to help communicate an aesthetic and message that was both playful and aspirational.

I did not have the time or budget for my own photoshoot, so I utilized assets from one that was available for free online. It was fun and very mentally stimulating trying to see what I could do with raw imagery and footage that I did not get a say in regarding creative direction.

I was able to emphasize consistency through color scheme, textures, composition, theme, and pacing. If i did not have an asset available to communicate a concept, I utilized imagery sourced elsewhere, or I used photoshop's generative AI feature.
